Jordan founded the company in 2003 as Rightfield Solutions with $1MM funding from private investors. He had been an entrepreneur before and was VP Marketing at Cognitor. Mark Achler, former GP of Kettle Partners, joined as President soon after and helped raised $4MM. He was a founder at a bunch of ventures including Kinesoft Development, Imagination Pilots, and The Whitewater Group, and he worked on the launch of the Apple IIc.
