Behind all those travel sites and reservations systems is another layer of ticketing distribution.  A bunch of Orbitz veterans decided there was a cheaper, better way to handle ticket processing and developed a new ticket system to reduce GDS (distribution) fees by 80% . They've gotten agreements from a seven major airlines and announced partnerships with Priceline.com.

Alex previously was CTO and the first executive at Orbitz - effectively the founder if you don't count the airlines. Prior to that he started Sportsgear and Neoglyphics - an very early web development shop that he sold to Zefer.
