If you're buying a home, BuySide will rebate you up to 75% of the buyer's agent commission (usually ~1.5% of the home's price) and provide you online tools to search for listings. The logic is that since you're doing a ton of the research (and the agent's not), you deserve some of the compensation (and they deserve less). It's a parallel model to iNest, except that they're focused on resale homes vs. new construction. BuySide launched it's site in April 2006.

Avi and Joe were pioneers in online stock brokerage with Web Street Securities which they founded in 1996. They took the company public in 1999 and merged with eTrade in 2001. Kevin was CIO at Orbitz from inception until 2004, overseeing the web site's launch and most of its growth. BuySide is licensed in 27 states and is currently operating in California, Georgia, Florida, Illinois and Virginia
