FeedBurner helps online publishers--like bloggers, podcasters, and news websites--manage, analyze, and make money off their feeds. If you aren't familiar with feeds or RSS, read an introduction. The challenge for publishers is to track statistics on how many people are reading their feeds, and to make money off these readers since they aren't viewing all the website ads. FeedBurner helps them with both of these challenges, and much more. FeedBurner also currently manages the feeds for large publishers such as Wired News and USA Today.
FeedBurner's four founders, Dick Costolo, Eric Lunt, Steve Olechowski, and Matt Shobe met at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). They have built and sold a number of companies together, including Spyonit. FeedBurner has opened a branch office in San Francisco and has resellers in Asia and Europe.
