Although Mac users benefit from a relatively virus-free existance, they still occasionally need to call tech support. OnDeckTech makes late night housecalls (and business ones, too) for those Mac owners in need of a troubleshooting or a reboot. Services are available in simple subscription-based tiers and include phone help desk services as well. Toll-free support is available in 5 countries.
Gray previously founded and grew local ISP Forward.net, which he sold to ANET. As part of his early retirement, he decided to sign up for "possibly the best job ever" and went to work as a Service Manager at the Apple Store. The one thing that bothered him was that, despite their requests, he wasn't allowed to service customers outside of the store. So in response he started OnDeckTech, delivering support to Mac users at home. The company has now expanded to include complete entreprise packages for businesses with Macs. He also provides weekly computing advice to about 250,000 listeners across 38 states as part of the tech-call in showm Website Wednesday Nights, on WGN AM 720.
