Q Interactive + Matt Moog + Matt Wise
Q Interactive began as Cool Savings - that sharp little pig in sunglasses - who establish the couponing business online. After developing a number of business lines, the company focused on a high-value, profile driven ad network. Publishers integrate Q Interactive during registration processes and consumers can opt into a variety of targeted offers. Their customers include most of the big CPG and national retailers. 2005 public filings and growth suggest they're currently doing near $100MM in revenue.
Matthew Moog came to Cool Savings early on and helped take the company though its first growth phase. Initial financing came from angel investors, then the company went public just as the bubble burst. Landmark Communications (owns the Weather Channel, and Katabat via Trader Publishing) bought a stake in the company and then took it private in late 2005. The name was changed to Q Interactive, and Matt Wise took over the helm in July. Previously, Wise was with Classified Ventures running their Homescape businesses and then had a number of operating roles at Delphion (IBM patent software), Lucky Surf and Draft Worldwide.
