You're probably familiar with images of floor traders, shouting amid a flurry of fists of paper. Trading Technologies is helping to migrate 'outcry trading' and its confetti to electronic models. Its platform connects traders to various exchanges, and it is already is the electronic trade volume leader at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). The company has driven numerous innovations that add speed to derivatives and securities trading.
Gary helped to wire the Eurex exchange while at Andersen Consulting. He originally founded Trading Technologies in Frankfurt and quickly moved its headquarters to Chicago -- the world’s largest market for futures trading. Harris bought a majority stake in the company in 2001 and took the post of CEO in 2003. He was a former open outcry trader who began trading electronically with TT’s platform...and eventually decided the rest of the world was coming with him.
