Matt is currently CEO of CareerBuilder, where he works with Kevin Knapp (formerly of Cars.com), Farhan Yasin & Richard Castellini (both formerly of DigitalWork) as well as Eric Presley and others from his previous life at Headhunter.net. Tim Landon is a board member. He was VP of Business Development at Headhunter.net until the CareerBuilder acquisition. Prior to that, he was at DigitalWork and a few other entrepreneurial ventures he founded. He began as a a lawyer with Baker & McKenzie. His law degree is from Northwestern and an MBA from University of Chicago.

Tim is President of Tribune Interactive, Tribune Classified and is responsible for the strategy, technology, operations of more than 50 websites. Former CEO of Classified Ventures (Cars.com, Apartments.com, Homescape) where he has helped the major newspaper chains (Knight Ridder, NTY, WPost, Gannett, McClatchy, Belo) lead and build a response to the changing landscape. Involved in many Tribune Ventures investments including a $5MM investment in fledgling AOL which turned into a $1.6B return. Board member at CareerBuilder, ShopLocal and Classified Ventures where he has worked with Vikram Sharma, Matt Ferguson, Daniel Jauernig, Sam Sebastian, Matt Wise and others.
